Here's a quick post to show a few Brand-New BATMAN ITEMS and COLLECTIBLES to keep an eye out for. It looks like FUNKO is continuing their line of DC Universe POP Heroes with the TWO-FACE Vinyl Figure! I don't know why, but I really like this one. Maybe because it's so gosh darn cute, ha! Next is an item that true BATGIRL Fans will really love. Over at the HOT TOPIC website they're selling DC Comics "Girl Superhero" Beauty Products. For an example check out this BATGIRL BERRY LIPGLOSS! I actually really like the packaging design. Then, last but not least, is a DC Universe Action Figure of ROBIN from the YOUNG JUSTICE TV Cartoon. This new toy was spotted at Target.

Here's a wonderful photo sent in by our good friend Batmobilly! He just came across this brand-new Batman Toy while surfing through the retail stores. Well, it looks like Fisher Price is still cranking out more Imaginext Bat-Vehicles for their DC SUPER FRIENDS line. Shown here is the BATBOAT!!
The Mezco Toy Company has announced a brand-new BATMAN MEGA SCALE MEZ-ITZ FIGURE that will be 18 Inches Tall! It's way bigger than previous versions ( 2" and 6" ) and will come in 2 color variations: Limited Edition Black and Gray and Ultra Rare Variant Limited Edition Blue and Grey ( I like the blue one the best ). He features a real cloth cape and 5 points of articulation. Now, before you fall in love, the retail price will be around $200.00, OUCH! This new toy will premiere at the world famous San Diego Comic Con ( 2011 SDCC ) but will also be available at the Official MEZCO Website, click HERE!
Be sure to keep an eye out later this year for Mattel's new DC Universe Classic Action Figure "MAD LOVE" 2-Pack Set featuring the Joker & Harley Quinn. But remember that you won't find these everywhere because they are a Toys-R-Us Exclusive. Something sort of interesting: The position of the characters inside the packaging is based on Alex Ross' iconic Painting "Tango With Evil" ( see pic below ). The figures look great but I love some of the accessories - Harley's Giant-Gun and Hammer, Joker Playing Cards, Joker's Cane & Mallet, plus... a Joker Fish!
Here's a wonderful photo sent in to us by our friend Yuji. He had a BATMAN Birthday Cake with a graphic of his favorite Vintage Toy, a 1970's Batman MEGO Doll... I mean, Action Figure! This cake looks goooood & it's making me hungry, ha! Plus, I totally love Mego Toys so this is great stuff! ( Thanks Yuji for sharing your pic ).

The Javits Center in New York City was bustling this week with some of the coolest and most unusual collectible action figures and statues at the 2011 TOY FAIR. Among them, DC Direct displayed some their newest products. Shown here are the DCU Online MMO figures of THE JOKER and HARLEY QUINN ( These look pretty awesome! ). Plus, speaking of Harley, we also get to see the Harley Quinn Figure from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Action Figure Series ( Video Game Version ).
On Wednesday, every week, the Bat-Blog Website posts 2 Free BATMAN Backgrounds. We call it "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!" We always try to go with some theme or idea & BATGIRL seemed like a good subject. So, here we go! The 1st image is a close-up shot of a Batgirl Action Figure. It's from when she was in the Animated Series TV Cartoon. I know the image is kinda strange, but please try it as a desktop background, it's actually sort of fun! Now, speaking of TV. Here's a cool vintage TV commercial that aired 11 years ago, in the year 2000. It's for the BATMAN BEYOND BATLINK ACTION FIGURES. It shows the Codebuster Batman Action Figure & Netrunner Batmobile made by Hasbro Toys. I've included a photo of the toys, check out the Batmobile, it's crazy!

The 1st one is a very recent image of Batman and Robin ( Damian ) from the Modern-Day Comic Books. The next one is more "Vintage", it's a photo of an older Batman Action Figure standing next to a Toy Batmobile Car. I love these old toys and also thought it would be kind of funny. It's called "BATMAN JUSTICE" & is based on the critically acclaimed and best-selling 12-issue comics series by Alex Ross. As with the SUPERMAN ( Kingdom Come ) 1:6 Scale Deluxe Collector figure, the Batman body has been extensively modified to reflect the unique style of Alex Ross. The 13" high figure ( 1:6 Scale ) features 28 points of articulation, is packaged in a deluxe 4-color window box and includes a display stand. It will be a Limited Edition Figure & the retail price will be around $99.99 US.
Whew! I almost forgot that today is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", ha ha! OK, to make up for being a tiny bit late I thought I would post 3 free wallpapers instead of the regular 2. I recently asked some people at random what kind of backgrounds they would like & the most popular answer was Batman: The Brave and The Bold. So, here are some that feature Batman, Aquaman, & the super-awesome Batmobile car from the show! The photo of the car is actually a photo of the action figure toy vehicle made by Mattel. I don't know, I thought it was a cool pic. I hope you guys enjoy them all!!
Our good friend Reis, who writes the cool GEEK ORTHODOX blog, recently posted these 2 photos showing a BLAMMOIDS Batman Action Figure he bought. It's the 1st time I have ever seen what the packaging looks like so I thought I would share them here. Even though this line of DC Direct figures is extremely weird & even kinda ugly. Some of them are actually starting to grow on me a little bit. I might have to get a few of them, at least the Batman one....or maybe The Joker, ha! Fisher Price has come out with a new DC Super Friends Playset called "Joker's Fun House". It's from their Imaginext line of toys so it's made for very little kids but I gotta say that I think it's pretty cool & wouldn't mind having one myself, ha! Over at the MattyCollector website they're hyping the fact that in a few days, on March 15th, 2010, a Special SCARECROW Action Figure from THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Franchise will be made available! Personally, I think it looks pretty cool! It is sculpted by The Four Horsemen. It features full articulation and comes with a cloth version of his mask. Available first at the Official Mattel website at 12 Noon Eastern on March 15th, 2010. Then, Toys “R” Us in spring 2010. Here's a nice video sent in recently by a Bat-Blog Fan who's main focus is collecting just the Batmobile Toy cars. He just started to collect them & his collection is pretty cool so far. You can see he has a lot of the Action Figure Vehicles, some Corgi Die-Cast Cars, Batman Hot Wheels by Mattel, & a few Misc Toys. Just a quick posting here. This is a pic sent in by our good friend Batmobilly! He said he just saw this action figure at Wal-Mart & it's sort of a very hard one to find so he took a picture. It's the ROBIN WITH BATCYCLE from the Fisher Price Imaginext DC SUPER FRIENDS toy line. Later, I told Billy that one day I was at Toys-R-Us. They had a HUGE area for all this great DC SUPER FRIENDS Action Figure stuff ( Vehicles, Play Sets, Figures, everything! ). There was a TON of toys & it took-up almost 1/2 the row. Out of curiosity I started to add-up all the prices in my head. Just to buy all the stuff they had that one day it would have cost like $300 dollars! The thing to keep in mind is that this is not even all the toys they have made ( or will make ). Not even close. Plus some other stores have "Exclusives", etc... So, I guess if you're like me & can't afford to buy it all ( I tend to be a "Completest Collector" ) then at least just get the few pieces that you really like. Well, this ROBIN figure with Bat-Cycle would go on that list because it's really cool!

OK, This Custom Mego Doll has "WIN" written all over it!! Our friend Ken, who we know from the Mego Museum Forum, sent us these wonderful pics of an action figure he recently completed. His idea was "What if the Mego Toy Company were making their World's Greatest Superhero Figures at the time when Batman 1st came out in 1939, what would the toy look like?"...well, here it is! I don't think I need to post any vintage graphics from the Golden Age Comic Books to show how accurate this thing is. It's so cool! It not only represents "1939 BATMAN", but it also follows the general "design rules" of Mego. I totally love this thing! Thanks Ken for sending the pics & you did a great customization here, keep up the good work! If there are any other Bat-Blog readers out there who like to get creative every now & then please send us some pics. It can be Drawings, Paintings, Custom Toys, anything Artistic!
Awesome! Our good friend Batmobilly has a recent report of the retail store action for us! The 1st brand-new Batman Toy shown here is a Target Store Exclusive. It's THE JOKER from the Fisher-Price Imaginext Series. Ya got to admit that $3.99 is a pretty good price. The next item was also spotted at Target. Here are 2 different ACTION LEAGUE Figure Sets. One is Batman with the Batcycle & the other is Batman with Gorilla Grodd. Of course these are the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD versions...very cool! The last collectible is also an Imaginext Action Figure but it was found at Wal-Mart. It's TWO-FACE & it looks like he comes with a bank vault door, oh yeah! OK, I gotta send out a HUGE Thank You to Batmobilly for sending the wonderful pics, that's great!
