Glenn's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS With CATWOMAN Dolls and 1967 BATGIRL Model Kit

Check out these amazing Custom Catwoman Dolls, Batgirl Model Kit, & Re-Designed Retro-Style Batman Toys! These were all made and or customized by our friend Glenn, also known as "infadoll". He likes to take old beat-up toys and give them new life. His main focus is Superhero-related characters. Shown here are two versions of Catwoman. The 1st one is Julie Newmar from the 1966 BATMAN TV Series. The fabric for the costume looks great & the necklace is really nice too. Then you have the "Golden Age" version from the 1940's comic books...MEOW!








The 3rd photo shows his talent for adding dioramas to his model kits. Here is a "Yvonne Craig" Batgirl from the 2nd season of TV's BATMAN. Wow, the face looks just like hers! Then, look at the last 2 pics. This is an old Vintage 1960's Palmolive BATMAN SOAKY Bubble Bath Bottle... transformed into ADAM WEST! If you're not familiar with the old toy it was actually extremely simple-looking & basic. In Glenn's version he detailed it quite a bit & made it more authentic to the TV Show, Coolness! Ryan's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS - Mighty Muggs Madness!

The Bat-Blog totally digs creativity, in any form, and here's a GREAT example! Here are some photos from a Fan who likes to create Custom Batman Toys. He takes Hasbro MIGHTY MUGGS Figures & repaints them. Now, for Non-Toy-Collector-People out there who don't know, Hasbro has the license to make Marvel Comics Superhero Characters & Mattel does DC Comics. So, since Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro then they will NEVER do any BATMAN Figures. So, for the people who want them your only choice is to... customize them!

Our Friend Ryan has done an extremely excellent job on his Customs. First up is Robin & he looks great! He has also done Bane, Clayface, Batman, & Azrael. Please check out the photos because they are AWESOME!! The Bane & Clayface are my 2 top favorites, then Robin. Which ones do you like?

Bat-Creativity - Different Artists Inspired By BATMAN

It's pretty cool when creative people are inspired by BATMAN SO here's a few examples. The 1st pic is a totally Custom-Made MY LITTLE PONY Figure made to look like Harley Quinn and the Artist did a really great job on it! The next photo shows a Bat-Latte with a nice head of foam and in the last photo, to go with your coffee, we got some Batman and Robin Cupcakes. John's Custom BATMAN Action Figure Photos

Check out these cool pics! These photos were sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named John who loves to create Custom-Made Action Figures of his favorite Batman characters. Jerry's Photos: CUSTOM BATMAN 12" HOT TOYS FIGURES

Our good friend Jerry, who lives in Taiwan, sent us some amazing photos the other day. He recently went to a store at some shopping mall in Taipei City called "Taiwan Figure Union". He said he saw a lot of awesome stuff, such as these 12" Batman Movie Custom Figures that some Bat-Fans got to display in the front store windows. I have to say that they are all very impressive with really great head sculpts. I mean, some of them look just like the original actors! The main focus for most of the dolls appear to be the 2005 BATMAN BEGINS movie, but in photo #2 we get to see a version from an earlier Batman movie, maybe 1992 BATMAN RETURNS-inspired. They made one of the "R'as al Ghul" character & it looks exactly like Liam Neeson, ha! They also made a more Modern Day "Comic Book JOKER" but used the body from THE DARK KNIGHT Heath Ledger figure by HOT TOYS ( in fact, I think all these customs were made using HOT TOYS bodies and it was just the heads & clothing that were customized ). The one of Police Sergeant Jim Gordon is one of my personal favorites as they did an amazing job on Gary Oldman's face. They did a few variations on Bruce Wayne's character which are pretty interesting. Overall, I would have to say that I'm very very impressed with all of these. As a side-note: I'm not really sure if they were all done by one artist or many different ones, but either way, very great work! Also, I wanna thank Jerry for taking the time to shoot these pics & sharing his love of the Batman Character with us. It's really neat seeing what goes on in Taiwan & it's so cool that there are serious Bat-Fans there too!!

Johnny's CUSTOM BATMAN & ROBIN GI Joe Doll Clothes

This is a really nice story. Here's some pics sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Johnny. When he was a little kid, back in the 1970's, a lady who was a good neighbor made him some Batman & Robin clothes for his large 12" GI Joe Dolls. They were made to sort of be like the Mego Superhero Figures we all know & love. Well, out of sentimental reasons he has kept these outfits for all these years. Later, he got some large dolls to display the mini-costumes as a way to remember her ( she recently passed away ). Now I think these clothes are just totally wonderful & she did a great job on them. OK, I know that they're not totally perfect or completely accurate but a lot of goodness & love went into making them. So for that reason they're really special. Plus, they actually are pretty cool! Thanks to Johnny for sharing his nice story & pics.

Cool Japanese BATMAN Apple iPod Earphones

In Japan there is a company called SKULL-CANDY who makes these very cool Audio Earphone Sets for your Mp3 Players, mainly the Apple iPod . Here are 2 they made with a Batman & Superman Theme. The neat thing is that I think they come with a set of Vinyl Figures too! Sorry, Not really sure. The Japan-based website I found these on was totally Japanese & I could NOT read a thing, ha ha! But either way these look like a lot of fun. As you can see, the ear-pieces have a set of snap-on "Bat-Logo" covers. But I gotta say that I totally love the vinyl figures way more!

Ken's "1939 BATMAN" Custom Toy Mego Doll Action Figure

OK, This Custom Mego Doll has "WIN" written all over it!! Our friend Ken, who we know from the Mego Museum Forum, sent us these wonderful pics of an action figure he recently completed. His idea was "What if the Mego Toy Company were making their World's Greatest Superhero Figures at the time when Batman 1st came out in 1939, what would the toy look like?"...well, here it is! I don't think I need to post any vintage graphics from the Golden Age Comic Books to show how accurate this thing is. It's so cool! It not only represents "1939 BATMAN", but it also follows the general "design rules" of Mego. I totally love this thing! Thanks Ken for sending the pics & you did a great customization here, keep up the good work! If there are any other Bat-Blog readers out there who like to get creative every now & then please send us some pics. It can be Drawings, Paintings, Custom Toys, anything Artistic!

BATMAN CUSTOM TOY: Mr. Potato Head is The Caped Crusader!

In the last few years Hasbro has totally revamped their Mr. Potato Head toy figure line by making him into licensed characters. There have been ones of The Transformers, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, KISS ( Rock Group ), Santa Claus & they even recently starting doing Sports Teams. But because Mattel has the license to exclusively make Batman figures they will probably NEVER make one of our favorite Dark Knight. Well, that's a total shame because check out this amazing BATMAN Custom Toy done by our friend Matt! One night Matt & his 2 brothers decided to totally customize some Mr. Potato Heads. He chose to make one of Batman. I really love this figure! Not only is it very well made but it's also a great version of the Silver Age Batman where he's wearing the blue/gray uniform with the yellow-oval bat-symbol. I wanna thank Matt for sending in these cool pics plus say, "Good Job!". I also want to invite any other creative Bat-Blog Fans to send in examples of their artwork.

Jason's CUSTOM BATMAN MEGO DOLL - 8" Action Figure!

Everybody who grew-up in the 1970's has fond memories of a toy line called MEGO. They made a lot of Superhero Toys that have now become classic. These things are getting a lot harder to find now. But something that has happened in the last few years is that people are totally into customizing them. Well, they're not ruining ones that are in good shape, that would be bad, but on occasion you find them totally wasted & that's what they use. I think it's really cool. I love when people are creative like this & sometimes the result of these custom figures is extremely cool & very clever. Here's a very good example: Our friend Jason sent us some photos of an Adam West 1966 Batman TV Show MEGO Doll he put together. He got the fake Blister Card from one source, the clothing from another, & so on. Then he made this awesome Batman figure!! The details are wonderful. It's a total fantasy-piece, because MEGO TOYS never made this, but it would have been so great if they did! The figure measures about 8" tall & comes with a Bat-Suit Costume, Head Cowl, Boots, Gloves, & a Bat-Belt!! I also love the packaging. It looks so authentic & seeing the photos of the characters is really cool. I wanna thank Jason for sending these incredible photos & if any other Bat-Blog Fans out there are into making Custom Toys of any kind then please sen us your pics. Custom Toys: COMIC BOOK BATMAN Mighty Muggs Figures

I recently got a very nice letter from a Batman Fan in the Philippines named Nico. He sent these wonderful photos of 2 Custom Batman Mighty Muggs Figures he customized & painted to look like 2 different versions of the Dark Knight. The 1st one is styled after Jim Lee's artwork & the 2nd one is inspired by Alex Ross. I gotta say that they are both so totally GREAT that it's really hard to choose a favorite! Thank you Nico for sending these in, you did an amazing job on both of them. I think that if you had not told me about the different comic book artist's styles you used that I still would have been able to recognize their influence. Custom ROBIN Batman Action Figure By John

Followers of the Bat-Blog might remember awhile back we showcased a few Batman Custom Action Figures made by our friend John. Well, he just sent us another photo of a recent design project. He made this Custom Robin Figure. Now, I was kinda curious about how he made it & this was his reply:

Robin uses a DC Infinite heroes Shazam head, Indiana Jones Mutt Williams torso and upper arms, Microman lower arms, Namor Superhero Showdown waist, SHS Human torch legs, and a whole lot of time with the Dremel and apoxy sculpt to shorten the legs and re-sculpt. Also a Kubrick Robin was used for his bat-belt.

Wow! I was kinda shocked it took so many different figures to make this one Robin, ha ha! But John did a very excellent job...it looks extremely cool! Thank you John for sending the photo & we look forward to seeing your future creations!

ART: THE JOKER - JACK IN THE BOX Custom Toy

Shown here are some photos of an amazing Custom Toy made by a Bat-Blog Reader known as "Turkey Bowinkle". Yeah, that's his name. You got a problem with that? But seriously he's a very creative person & he made this LITTLE JOKER Jack In The Box! It's a small wooden box with painted Joker Card graphics. When you open the lid - BOOM! - The Joker pops out! The Joker Figure is some sort of sculpted clay ( painted later ) with cloth clothing & green hair. I really love this little toy. It's so cool! The facial expression on Joker's face is really great & he does sort of look a lot like Cesar Romero from the 1966 Batman TV Show! So, "Turkey Bowinkle" is a very talented artist in deed! I wanna thank him for sending the wonderful pics & also invite all other Bat-Blog Readers ( with special art or craft projects ) to please send us some pics as well.

ART: Custom My Little Pony BATMAN and THE JOKER Figures!

OK, Here at the Bat-Blog we post some really goofy stuff sometimes...just for fun! So that's what this is. I recently discovered a girl named "Anime Amy" who is totally into making Custom Toys. She gets old MY LITTLE PONY figures & customizes them into different superhero comic book characters. Here are 2 examples where she made a Batman & Joker figure from THE DARK KNIGHT movie. The details are pretty good. I think she sells these on eBay sometimes so you might check there if you're interesting in buying one. Or, be sure to check out her website.
