Here at the Bat-Blog, awhile back, we did a story about a guy in Ohio who bought a Military Drone Helicopter Engine & used it to make a Batmobile Replica Car that was unlike any other. Well, I guess he has decided to sell it, it's on eBay right now. OK, before you get ready to go hit eBay & bid let's just say that it's pretty expensive. I mean, the "BUY IT NOW" price is $620,000.00, ha! Yes, over half a million bucks! But the car is pretty impressive & would totally turn you into a complete Chick Magnet! So, go bid now! Shown here are a few prototype pics of 2 Brand-New BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Plastic Model Kits that will be released by Moebius Models near the end of September, 2011. They're gonna make a Tumbler Batmobile ( 1:25 Scale ), a Bat-Pod Motorcycle( 1:25 Scale ),and a Set of 3 Figures ( no photos on those yet ). The best picture here is the Bat-Pod, click on it for way more detail. They're gonna retail for around $15 so be sure to look for them later. Also, once we get better pics we will share them here.
If you read the Bat-Blog yesterday then you know we did a post about the "Michael Uslan Batman Book Signing" that happened in New Jersey last weekend. Well, for the event, they had a few Batmobile Replica Cars on display that were supplied by Gotham City Supercars. That's the 1st BATMAN WALLPAPER presented here. The photo features a very nice 1966 Batmobile & the cool car from the 1989 Movie. I would have tried to steal them BOTH, ha!
Then, the 2nd wallpaper background shares an image of BATWOMAN from the Golden Age. It's a convention drawing by Sheldon Moldoff. You see, I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan asking to see a "Batwoman Background" showing her as she appeared in the TV Cartoon, "Batman: The Brave and The Bold". Yes, she made an appearance. Well, I did have some nice graphics of her but they're on my old computer that I can't access. Then, I searched Google forever trying to find these pics & could never find anything decent. Then, I asked the Warner Bros PR Dept to please send me some pics but that's taking forever. So I finally settled on these. Sorry Dude, I'll have those images for you when I can get them. In the mean time please enjoy this one.
Last Saturday, August 20th, was a special day for Batman Fans. Well, ones who live near New Jersey anyway, ha! Michael Uslan, the Author of "The Boy Who Loved Batman", had a Book Signing Party at the Ashbury Park Convention Hall on the Boardwalk in NJ. Our Bat-Reporter Buddy "BatDave" was there and got some incredible photos! He also said that the event was a total blast & Mr. Uslan was a lot of fun to be around. He also said he was a very gracious person, that's cool.
The first photo shows the Author Michael Uslan in a 1966 TV Batmobile Replica Car. In fact, there were a few different Batmobiles made available for the event & tomorrow we're gonna post a special "Wallpaper Background" that's a really great pic of the 1989 Movie and 1966 TV Show Batmobile... TOGETHER! So, stay tuned for that.
Now, up next are 2 photos that feature a Costumed Batman Fan getting his book signed & the 3rd pic shows our Buddy "BatDave" ( he's the guy on the far-right ). Last, but not least, I wanna remind everybody about the book. I recently received a copy & will be doing a major "Bat-Book Review". Please look for that soon. Here at the Bat-Blog we love it when Batman Fans get creative & use their inspiration of the character as a means to create ART! Here are 2 great examples: The 1st photo is a sculpture bust made by our friend Pete. It's in the early stages, but it will be used to make a latex mask bat-cowl. Now the funny thing is that Pete told me this was going to be a "Keaton BATMAN Movie" version, and he didn't even need to say that. I mean, just look at it, IT IS TOTALLY Michael Keaton!
Next up is a Bat-Vehicle I saw awhile back on eBay. It's a Custom Golf Cart designed to look like the Tumbler Batmobile from the recent Batman movies. Now, I don't play golf, but I would completely love to own this cool toy! ( Hint, Hint: My birthday is in January, ha! )

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT:OK, here are 2 pretty interesting "Dark Knight Rises" videos that have surfaced lately. One shows the Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt Filming Scene in a snow-covered Gotham City. Basically, he's walking around with a gas can & you can also see the Tumbler Batmobile driving around.In the next video we get to see the Tumbler Batmobile and a HEMTT Military Truck Driving on a Snow Covered Street! WOO HOO! Ok, it's really not that exciting, no action, just moving down the street. but this 2nd vehicle is pretty cool. I mean, it looks EVIL!
Check out this amazing photo taken in Pittsburgh, during the filming of the new Batman movie, by our friend & Bat-Reporter Chris Walker! ( Click on it for a larger pic ). It's a photo of the TUMBLER BATMOBILE ( Camouflage version ) sitting in fake snow. If you study the picture you can see large blocks of "fake snow" in the foreground. Also, you can look at other parts of the street that are not covered with snow. Yes, the magic of Hollywood! Next, is a cool piece that's equally as AWESOME! Here's the Just-Released Hot Wheels R/C 1966 TV Series Batmobile Car from Mattel. It looks like it's a pretty good size. I have not seen it in-person yet but our friend & Bat-Reporter, Batmobilly, sent us this photo last night. I kind of forget, but I think he found it at Toys-R-Us ( Thanks Billy ).
Yes! THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman movie is really getting underway! Here's a video showing the "Camouflage Version" of the Tumbler cruising the streets of Pittsburgh! Actually, there are 3 of them. I guess they either have back-up ones or they each perform a different function...cool!
Check out this new BATMAN Merchandise that just became available. Here are 2 Glass Tumblers with humorous sayings & retro-style bat-graphics. In fact, if you're a Vintage Toy Collector you'll probably notice the "Batmobile" image is the Kenner Superpowers Action Figure Vehicle. Yes, this clip art is from the 1980's. One glass says, "Wanna Come To My Bat Cave?", & the other one is "Chicks Dig The Ride!", ha ha! I really like these & someday, they will be MINE! OK, this is BATMAN FANDOM to the Extreme! You gotta love it! A cool Bat-Fan named Casey Putsch recently built his very own Batmobile Car! It's modeled after the 1989 BATMAN Movie version. Now, you're probably thinking, "Hey, there's a ton of those out there!". Well, NOT like this one. He used a a Boeing turbine engine from a decommissioned military helicopter!! Yes, this thing is really turbo!! It's just like it was intended in the movie, but real, ha! Just check out the videos down below & you'll see. Plus, be sure to crank-up your speakers because you can hear the modified turbine engine roar! This EXTREME!! ( Thanks Jordan & Mike ).
Here's a cool video a friend sent us a link to. It's a basic presentation by a Mattel Spokeperson of some new IMAGINEXT DC SUPER FRIENDS TOYS coming out this year. These were presented at the last 2011 TOY FAIR. It looks like they're coming out with a brand-new multi-level Bat-Cave and a ton of new Batman Figures! Here, we get to see the Penguin & his Penguin-Sub, Another Batmobile Vehicle, Clayface, & Catwoman with her Cat-Cycle. Man, how many items are they making for this toy line? I'm gonna need 3 more jobs to buy all of this stuff, ha ha!

Now, the 1st one is pretty simple, it's just a really nice sharp color photo of the most beautiful car in the entire world, George Barris' 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batmobile!
