Here's a quick post to share 2 brand-new BATMAN Toys that are in stores now! First, is a Fisher-Price DC SUPER FRIENDS LITTLE PEOPLE BATCAVE that comes with figures of Batman & Robin! This new toy is also a Target Store Exclusive ( Thanks Chris ).
Next, is a cool piece that's equally as AWESOME! Here's the Just-Released Hot Wheels R/C 1966 TV Series Batmobile Car from Mattel. It looks like it's a pretty good size. I have not seen it in-person yet but our friend & Bat-Reporter, Batmobilly, sent us this photo last night. I kind of forget, but I think he found it at Toys-R-Us ( Thanks Billy ).
The battle between good and evil continues! Mattel is set to release their Legacy BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Action Figure 2-Packs just in time for the Video Game! They will be made available this fall. This wave will include: Batman, Robin, The Joker, & Two-Face.

Next up is a very strange set of new toys. Fisher Price will be releasing these DC SUPER FRIENDS Little People Figures. These are made for Toddlers ( ages 1 to 4), but I know Adult Toy Collectors are gonna want these too. Shown here is the BATMAN & JOKER Set. Plus a new Batmobile & Joker Car! There will be many more figures, vehicles, & playsets. Yes, we're all gonna need a second or third job to buy all the cool Bat-Stuff in 2011, ha!
Just released in stores right now are some extremely super cool BATMAN SHAKE 'N GO Toy Cars by Fisher-Price! Of course they're a part of the never-ending DC SUPER FRIENDS Toy Line. There's a Brand-New BATMOBILE for Batman, a JOKERMOBILE for Joker, and even a MR. FREEZE CAR too! Our Bat-Reporter Friend, Batmobilly, got some amazing shots the other night while he was shopping. I really like the look of these cars, but the packaging is so beautiful it could make you cry. No, I'm not crying, it's just that some ceiling fan blew some dust in my eye... really. To the Batcave! Once Batman sees the Bat-Signal in the sky, he’s out on the road again, chasing down The Riddler to save the day! Fisher Price ( Mattel ) is coming out with a new extension of their DC SUPER FRIENDS Toy Line called "Geo-Trax". Which, are sort of like a Train Set. The first item to come out will be the BATCAVE R/C Set! It will be sold exclusively at Toys R Us and the Fisher-Price Online Store. The retail price for will be around $66.00.
As an extension of their DC SUPER FRIENDS Toy Line, Fisher Price ( Mattel ) is adding a few New Play Sets with motorized vehicles called "GEO-TRAX". The main component will be the BATCAVE PLAY SET but there will be some extra pieces like these. Shown here are two expansion packs: GOTHAM CITY and The JOKER'S LAIR. They are sort of like Train Sets & each one comes with a vehicle & a figure. The GOTHAM CITY scenery has a bank to rob and a jail to break out of, ha! All of these are made to add to the deluxe BAT-CAVE PLAY SET. You know, to keep growing your collection. They will be sold exclusively at Toys R Us and the Fisher-Price Online Store. The Suggested Retail Price will be around $33.00 each.
Here's a cool video a friend sent us a link to. It's a basic presentation by a Mattel Spokeperson of some new IMAGINEXT DC SUPER FRIENDS TOYS coming out this year. These were presented at the last 2011 TOY FAIR. It looks like they're coming out with a brand-new multi-level Bat-Cave and a ton of new Batman Figures! Here, we get to see the Penguin & his Penguin-Sub, Another Batmobile Vehicle, Clayface, & Catwoman with her Cat-Cycle. Man, how many items are they making for this toy line? I'm gonna need 3 more jobs to buy all of this stuff, ha ha!
Check out these extremely cool characters in the Second Wave of 6" BATMAN LEGACY Action Figures by Mattel. We got: Golden Age Batman, Batgirl ( Love the black & yellow costume ), Catman, and Bat-Mite. Yes, Bat-Mite!! It's also cool that there's a Catman too, I mean, what an obscure reference! Plus, I'm really loving the vintage look of these brand-new toys... great stuff here! Now, these are not in stores right now but be sure to look for them later. Hey, the Bat-Blog will keep ya updated, ha!
This is sort of sad news for Toy Collectors out there. Mattel has decided to cancel the RETRO ACTION DC SUPER HEROES Toy Line. These are the brand-new 8" figures that were made to sort of be like the old vintage MEGO DOLLS from the 1970's. They're totally great toys, very very cool! Well, some Toy Collectors have got together & created a "SAVE THE RETRO LINE" Petition to try & get Mattel to continue making the figures. Basically, what they're saying to Mattel is, "If retail stores don't seem like a profitable solution, then consider making these Retro figures as exclusives on mattycollector.com or consider an annual subscription service." It's sort of a desperate attempt but I think if they got enough people involved then maybe it has a chance. So, if you love the Old Mego Dolls or enjoy collecting these new ones then please CLICK HERE & sign the petition. Every signature helps! Also, please be sure to tell all your friends about it too.
This isn't earth-shattering news but there are some Hot Wheels Collectors out there who will find this important. OK, you know the New 2011 Hot Wheels BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM BATMOBILE Car that is out there? Well, it's been seen with variant packaging where one has the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Logo on it. Now, the cars are exactly the same, it's just a variation on the package design. Mattel is sort of known for doing that kinda thing, ha! Personally I like this new one with the logo because it makes it more of a piece of Bat-Merchandise. ( Thanks Chris )
Be sure to keep an eye out later this year for Mattel's new DC Universe Classic Action Figure "MAD LOVE" 2-Pack Set featuring the Joker & Harley Quinn. But remember that you won't find these everywhere because they are a Toys-R-Us Exclusive. Something sort of interesting: The position of the characters inside the packaging is based on Alex Ross' iconic Painting "Tango With Evil" ( see pic below ). The figures look great but I love some of the accessories - Harley's Giant-Gun and Hammer, Joker Playing Cards, Joker's Cane & Mallet, plus... a Joker Fish!
A few friends have already told me that they have found the brand-new 2011 BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM BATMOBILE Hot Wheels Car in stores right now! This bat-vehicle looks pretty awesome & in the 1st pic we get to see the Toy Packaging by Mattel. Then, the 2nd photo ( which is a BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUND, click on it ) shows the actual toy itself... beautiful!! Of course this is the Batmobile from the now Super-Classic Video Game. OK, today I'm on sort of a "foreign kick"! That means I'm focusing on some of the extremely cool Batman Merchandise & Toys made in other countries. But trust me, this stuff is pretty cool to see so you'll like it, ha!
The 1st example is an extremely RARE item. This is a packaged Bat-Ball Toy made in Italy in 1966. This Italian Toy is almost non-existent in the US. It's probably even hard to find over there! I love the vintage-style graphics. Plus, this is one of those toys where the packaging is "everything". I mean, once you open it & there's just that generic rubber ball, then it's no longer a "character item".
The next item is fun because it's Japanese & we all know that some of the coolest Bat-items come from Japan! It's a Video Game Disc for the Sega-Saturn by Aklaim. It's also tied-into the BATMAN FOREVER Movie.
Third, is this BATMOBILE Diecast Toy Car from the UK. It's a Hot Wheels Colour Shifters Car made by Mattel.
Now, the last photos, these are really great! I really love these! This is a complete set of 6 BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Jelly Glasses from France. I think these might have been for the UK market too. If anybody remembers those Welch's Grape Jelly Glasses we have here in the US then I think these are a little smaller. Now, you might be looking at the photo & saying, "Hey, There's 12 Glasses?!" Yes, this photo shows both the front & back of each glass. The 6 on the left are the "front". The "fronts" have Batman & the "backs" have villains. Well, one of them has the Batmobile, ha, but you get the idea.

Here's some cool photos from the recent 2011 TOY FAIR in New York City! The pictures show a part of the Mattel Toy Booth where they had a BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD merchandise display. It looks like they're just gonna keep cranking out the Action Figures!! Sorry, I sound a little bitter here. It's just that I've been broke for a few months now & they keep coming out with tons of cool Batman Toys. Whew, I'm OK now. I totally love this cartoon & Mattel has been making some decent products... I shouldn't complain, ha!
The Bat-Blog always tries to be on top of what brand-new pieces of Batman merchandise are out there. I mean, we're pretty serious Bat-Collectors & this site shares a lot of info on New Toys & Products. The 1st photo is something that's available right now. In fact, this photo was sent in by a friend who had just returned from Wal-Mart. It's a Special BATMAN VS JOKER 2-Pack Action Figure Set. It's made by Mattel from a toy line called "Action League". They're done in a squatty-cartoonish style, a lot like the Brave and the Bold figures. But they're not from the cartoon. They're more like characters from the DC Universe ( The Comic Books ). Speaking of "Cartoons", the next pic shows another 2-pack, this one for YOUNG JUSTICE. These figures are not out yet but will be released later. This set has Batman and Robin, as they look in the TV Show ( very cool! ). Now, the last photo is an item that's been out awhile. It's the DC Comics 75th Anniversary BATMAN KUBRICK Figures Set. I've reported on these before but felt they were worth mentioning again because this pic shows how they were packaged. Which, I didn't know about and really like. The custom "windows" for each figure inside is neat. Plus, the box that opens to display them is pretty cool! I also like that they have the official logo next to each character... nice! One last thing, if you're a Bat-Blog Reader who is also a Batman Toy Collector then please let us know what brand-new items you see out there in the retail stores. Check out these 2 cool photos of an amazing BATMAN Batmobile Toy Car Collection. No, I'm serious, click on them to see 2 HUGE photos that show a lot of detail, ha! What you will see are large close-up shots of many of the cars owned by our friend Cully. His focus is mostly the Batmobiles made by Corgi Toys and Mattel's Hot Wheels. He has the 1966 George Barris Batmobile, the 70's version, the Jokermobile, Catwoman's Car, the Bat-Boat, Bat-Bike, etc... way too many to list, ha! He also has most, if not all, of the variations of the Monster Jam Batmobile "Monster Truck". I wanna thank Cully for sending in these great pics & sorry it took me so long to finally getting them online, ha! But these photos are wonderful & I appreciate it. I also want to invite all other Bat-Blog Fans to share their pics too.
The Mattel Toy Company just released some fresh photos of their 2011 Hot Wheels line-up. It looks like we're gonna get a new BATMOBILE! This one looks like the car seen in the ARKHAM ASYLUM Batman Video Game. I think it looks pretty cool & I can't wait to hunt it down!
OK, this news scoop really belongs to my buddy Eric over at his TOYRIFFIC website. He discovered a brand-new Batman Batmobile Car in a special 2010 Series Hot Wheels Checklist Poster ( click on it for a larger version ) that will be produced by Mattel for their line of toy cars & I could not be more excited! Why? Well, the Die-Cast Car they're gonna make is going to be the TV Cartoon Batmobile from BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD!! Since I mentioned Eric's website, TOYRIFFIC, I gotta say that it's pretty cool & his main focus is really toy collecting in general. But he does cover fun Batman stuff from time to time. Over at the MattyCollector website they're hyping the fact that in a few days, on March 15th, 2010, a Special SCARECROW Action Figure from THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Franchise will be made available! Personally, I think it looks pretty cool! It is sculpted by The Four Horsemen. It features full articulation and comes with a cloth version of his mask. Available first at the Official Mattel website at 12 Noon Eastern on March 15th, 2010. Then, Toys “R” Us in spring 2010. Here's a nice video sent in recently by a Bat-Blog Fan who's main focus is collecting just the Batmobile Toy cars. He just started to collect them & his collection is pretty cool so far. You can see he has a lot of the Action Figure Vehicles, some Corgi Die-Cast Cars, Batman Hot Wheels by Mattel, & a few Misc Toys.
