I just got done watching the latest "BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD" TV Cartoon DVD. It's the new "SEASON TWO, PART ONE" 2-Disc Set. Oh man, it was a total blast to watch! I think "Season Two" was when this show was really hitting it's stride. Plus, this DVD took forever to watch, almost 4 hours! Which is a point I'd like to make: Considering that you get 273 minutes of entertainment for less than the price of a regular movie, then it's still a pretty good value. But, back to the greatness of this product, hee hee! It contains some of the best episodes so far. Here's a list, check it out:

OK, see what I mean. There's some great stuff on this volume. Personally my 2 favorite episodes to watch again were "The Golden Age of Justice!" and "Chill of the Night!". I guess I should also mention that this DVD Set has 2 Languages: English & Spanish. It also has "French Subtitles".
Tomorrow, on August 16th, Warner Bros Video will be releasing the next Brand-New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD ( Season Two, Part One ) DVD 2-Disc Set! There are 12 episodes included in this set & it runs a tiny bit over 4 hours. So, now is your chance to own it on DVD!

Thanks to our good friend Marcio we got some news that, right now in Brazil, they're starting a 2011 BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys Promotion at McDonalds ( In Brazil they call it "Mc Lanche Feliz" ). But the cool thing is that the toys are completely different than the ones we just had here in the USA. For Brazil, it looks like they have gone back to the regular-size toy & there are 4 of them to collect: The PENGUIN in his Penguin-Submarine, a PLASTIC MAN Figure, BATMAN in his BAT-COPTER ( or Bat-Gyro! ), and the JOKER'S Jokermobile Car! Oh man, from the photo up above you can tell that these are completely beautiful. But wait, there's more! Please be sure to view the official McDonald's TV Commercial video down below. Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, May 7th is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY. This is when you can hit your favorite Comic Book Retail Store ( or Public Library, in some cities ) and pick-up some free comics!! Now, this year there will be 2 books you will want to pick-up that are sort of Batman-related. The 1st one is a "Young Justice / Batman: The Brave and The Bold" issue. This book features stories with characters from each Cartoon Network animated TV series. The 2nd one is totally wacky & comes from Bluewater Productions, "The Mis-Adventures of Adam West". Reading it, I know he mentions the Batman character from time to time but it really is more about Mr. West himself. It's kind of wacky too, ha! For a list of ALL the free books they're gonna have be sure to click HERE! Also, while you're there, you can click on a book's cover & then read a sample of it online ( Read some of the "Adam West" one to get an idea of it ).

The BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD McDonald's Happy Meal Toys came out the other day & I've been so busy the last few days that I have not been able to go see what they look like. Now, when you buy a Kid's Meal there you get 3 small figures or maybe 2 small figures & a vehicle. Here are the ones Batmobilly got: The Penguin, Batman, & the Batmobile!! I think these are pretty cool & I seriously plan on hitting this restaurant tonight. Oh yeah, as a side-note: If you don't want to gag-down their food ( ha ha ) THEY DO SELL the toys separately. Just ask them. In fact, if you can find a cool Restaurant Manager he will build a complete set for you. But personally, I love their Cheeseburgers so I usually get the food, ha ha!
The Bat-Blog was one of the very 1st websites to announce that the next Happy Meal Toys at McDonalds were going to be "Batman: The Brave and The Bold". Well, here are the photos of what the toys are going to look like! There are a TON of them to collect! Be sure to click on the pic up above for a larger version. Here's the deal, with each meal you get 3 toys. Yes, you read that right, THREE toys, ha! There will be 8 waves of 3 toys each, making that 24 toys total! It also breaks down as 4 vehicles & 20 figures, whew! Now, we're not quite sure of their size just yet but I'm guessing they'll be way smaller than regular McDonald's Happy Meal Toys. But either way these look extremely cool! Oh yeah, these should be coming out around April 29th, 2011.
Here's some great news for wacky-crazy BATMAN Toy Collectors! The next Happy Meal Toy Promotion at McDonalds will be BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD! This is the 2nd time they have promoted this TV cartoon so that's cool! I guess the 1st time was pretty popular! OK, This news is so early we don't even know what the toys are gonna look like or how many there will be. There are also NO photos yet. Included here, for your viewing pleasure, are a few BATMAN WALLPAPERS I made this morning using images from the recent "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" TV Cartoon where they did a parody of Mad Magazine, Japanese Bat-Manga, & Scooby Doo! I wanted to totally hype this episode on my blog & YouTube page, before it came out, but the WB Publicity Department sent the promo package late ( I'm really getting tired of that crap! )
Anyways, the episode was yesterday & it was one of the very best so far! There was a part of the show where they showed Bat-Mite, in his own dimension, where he displays his personal Batman Toy Collection ( Check out the 2nd Wallpaper ). He had a special room with display cases of cool vintage stuff. Plus, there were cool pieces of bat-memorabilia just floating around.
Now, the part that was extra special for me is that I know the guy who contributed all the rare Batman toy photos. I'm not sure if I can say who he is but he's a very good friend & I was very very proud to see his stuff on the show. Plus, I know he must have been going crazy seeing it on TV, ha!
Yes! BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD has returned and the 1st new episode, titled “The Battle of the Superheroes!”, will air tonight on Friday, March 25th, on the Cartoon Network! It comes on around 6:30 pm, check your local listings. The Basic Plot: The Man of Steel and the Caped Crusader do battle after Superman is infected with red kryptonite. Batman must find a way to turn Superman back to his old self because he is going to need all the help he can get when Lex Luthor unleashes his latest scheme on Metropolis. Now, the cool thing about this episode is that the Art Direction gives the characters a wonderful "Retro 1950's" look! Plus, it features Superman, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, The Bottled City of Kandor, & much more!

Just a few days ago Warner Bros released their latest animated TV cartoon DVD, "Batman: The Brave And The Bold, Season One, Part Two". The special thing about this DVD is that it's a 2-Disc Set. The packaging is pretty cool & it contains 13 complete episodes. Now, there are not a lot of extras here but DISC ONE has a nice Movie Trailer for the next DC Universe Animated Film, "All-Star Superman". DISC TWO has a preview for the "Hot Wheels Battle Force 5" Animated TV Series. One last note would be that the shows are avaliable in three languages: English, Spanish, & Portuguese.
Now I gotta say that this is one GREAT series & a very nice DVD Set. I wish it was the Complete Season but it does have quite a bit of entertainment value. Plus, it's nice to watch the show without all the TV commercials, ha! Another thing I like is that it includes some of my most favorite episodes of Season One: "Trails of the Demon", because of the "Sherlock Holmes" angle. "The Color of Revenge", because of all the references to the Golden Age Comic Books & also the 1966 TV Show. "The Last Bat on Earth", because it showcased some Classic Jack Kirby-Inspired Characters & it brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. Actually the list could go on because every episode is fun! This set also includes the famous "Music Meister" episode, which was completely done as a Musical, a very strange ( but fun ) concept. I think that if you're a Fan of this TV Cartoon then you're gonna be pretty happy with this product.
