Yesterday,here at the BAT-BLOG.COM, we did a story about Microsoft releasing a Special Edition XBox 360 Custom Case with BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY graphics. The thing is totally beautiful, ha! On one side it features art of The Joker. Well, we got a hold of that artwork & made this ARKHAM CITY JOKER WALLPAPER to brighten your desktop, enjoy!
Comic Book Resources recently interviewed Paul Dini ( Comic Book & Video Game Writer ) and Kevin Conroy ( Voice Actor AKA Batman ) about their creative collaboration processes on both "Batman: Arkham City" and "Batman, The Animated Series". It's pretty good, check it out!
Here's a quick post to show some of the New Images of some ROBIN SKINS that will hopefully be made available for everybody who plays the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. They are, from left to right: RED ROBIN ( Comic Book version ), ROBIN ( Regular "Arkham City" version ), and ROBIN ( From TV's "Batman The Animated Series" Cartoon ). Now, I'm sure they will probably release many many more, ha! But right now, my personal favorite is the "Animated version"... Cool!
Here's a brand-new video showing the scale & size of Gotham City in the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. OK, you don't get to see the entire city, but it does give you a good idea. Oh Man, it looks pretty cool!

Just a quick post to share a few bits of BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game news. First, in the UK, you'll be able to find this new XBOX 360 Magazine with The Joker on the cover. Then, here's another beautiful photo of the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Billboard that was seen at this year's 2011 San Diego Comic Con.
Also, we have news on some brand-new "Foreign Exclusives".
We have already been hearing about all the Foreign "Collectors Editions" with different Batman SKINS. Now there's news of EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK Editions in other countries. The 1st two to surface ( and there will be many more probably, ha! ) is the UK Store SHOPTO & the Australian Video Game Store EB GAMES. For the UK edition they will have Two-Face on the back cover. Then, the Aussies will have the Joker ( I like the Joker one better ). It looks like you also get a cool 1970's Batman Skin plus a few other bonuses in each one. But, for the price, so far I'm thinking the "Collector Edition" would be better because you get the Batman Statue. These just have a "steelbook" case. I don't know, it's really too early to tell. I think we all need to see the final releases on all this stuff. Please stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com for more future news. Also, just a friendly warning. If you do buy any of the "Foreign" stuff, Please be sure to ask the retailer if these discs will work on "American" Game Consoles.
OK, for now, this is sort of a rumor I have not been able to 100% confirm but supposedly Japan will have a completely different Batman Statue inside their Japanese retail version of the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Collector's Edition Video Game. We have all seen the Statue for the USA & Europe versions, it's pictured on the left. On the right side might be the one for Japan. It's basically the same thing, just more colorized. It also looks a lot more realistically detailed. But hey, please stay tuned to the Bat-Blog & if we get more information on this then we'll report it.
OK, I woke-up this morning to discover that there are even MORE MORE MORE Costume-Mod Skins for Batman: Arkham City! Keeping up with it all is driving me crazy and I predict that there will probably be many more, ha! For now, here are the ones that will be foreign exclusives to certain companies. I would like to add that I think all of these will be made available to everybody in the future. I mean, you know everyone world-wide is going to want each and every Bat-Suit! Here they are - From left to right: Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman Earth One, 1970's Batman, and The Animated Series. The last one is the Regular "Arkham City" Version.
For now, the break-down on who is offering these skins is as follows: - ShopTo.net (UK) or Toys ‘R Us (USA) – 1970′s Batman
- MightyApe – Batman Beyond, Earth One, The Animated Series
- GameStop.co.uk – Batman Beyond
In BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM we could all pretty much be Batman but all with the same costume. For BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY there has already been an announcement that, in the Special "Limited Collector's Edition" of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, it will include a Frank Miller-style "The Dark Knight Returns" Batman skin that will change the appearance of the character to look like the TDKR version. OK, it's been announced in the UK that if you buy the "Limited Collector's Edition" of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY from a company called SHOP TO, you can get a free EXCLUSIVE download that will enable you to have a 1970's Inspired Costume Skin ( see the pic up above ). Now, I'm not sure if this will be made available in the USA or if it will even work with American Consoles. But if you're curious & wanna check it out then here's a LINK!
OK, I know the new Batman Video Game is "Arkham City" but here's a video showing a pretty awesome 6-Monitor PC Gaming Set-Up using "Asylum" as a demo. Oh man, it's crazy! I bet if you were setting there, close to the screens, it would seem like a more natural view. But, I wish the monitor edges were not showing, more seamless, but this is still pretty cool!
Here's an extremely cool BANE Batman Villain WALLPAPER to decorate your desktop. Now, I didn't take this photograph so I can brag about how awesome it is, ha ha! This was a photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Steve. He loves the New BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Action Figures so much that he took this awesome photo of BANE from the series. The lighting is great and you can really see some of the fine details. Oh man, I want this cool toy! ( Thanks Steve ) Plus, with Bane being a major character in "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" movie the timing is perfect!
Check out this amazing Giant-Sized Advertising Billboard for BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY that was seen at this year's 2011 San Diego Comic Con! I mean, oh man, this BATMAN Wall Mural takes up the whole side of that building, crazy!!
In this GameSpot exclusive trailer for the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game, the Penguin has a big surprise in store for the Caped Crusader!
The new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game comes out on October 18th but you might wanna save-up & get the Special Collector's Edition! It will retail for around $99 & comes with a Custom BATMAN Statue, Cool Display Box, Collectible Art Book, The Official BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Music Soundtrack CD, the DC Universe Animated Original Movie BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT, 4 Collectible Trading Cards, and Digital Download Extras. Here's a nice 12 minute long video made up of various clips from the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Game. We get to see some great action & game play featuring Catwoman & Two-Face, the characters look great! Oh man, this game just keeps looking better & better!
