I just got done watching the latest "BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD" TV Cartoon DVD. It's the new "SEASON TWO, PART ONE" 2-Disc Set. Oh man, it was a total blast to watch! I think "Season Two" was when this show was really hitting it's stride. Plus, this DVD took forever to watch, almost 4 hours! Which is a point I'd like to make: Considering that you get 273 minutes of entertainment for less than the price of a regular movie, then it's still a pretty good value. But, back to the greatness of this product, hee hee! It contains some of the best episodes so far. Here's a list, check it out:

OK, see what I mean. There's some great stuff on this volume. Personally my 2 favorite episodes to watch again were "The Golden Age of Justice!" and "Chill of the Night!". I guess I should also mention that this DVD Set has 2 Languages: English & Spanish. It also has "French Subtitles".
Tomorrow, on August 16th, Warner Bros Video will be releasing the next Brand-New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD ( Season Two, Part One ) DVD 2-Disc Set! There are 12 episodes included in this set & it runs a tiny bit over 4 hours. So, now is your chance to own it on DVD!
Well, at this year's 2011 Comic Con a few lucky people got to see the new DC Universe Animated Movie BATMAN: YEAR ONE. The reviews have been decent so that's cool. I guess the rest of us will have to wait for the DVD or Blu-Ray & Digital Download ( Oct 18th ).
The new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game comes out on October 18th but you might wanna save-up & get the Special Collector's Edition! It will retail for around $99 & comes with a Custom BATMAN Statue, Cool Display Box, Collectible Art Book, The Official BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Music Soundtrack CD, the DC Universe Animated Original Movie BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT, 4 Collectible Trading Cards, and Digital Download Extras. Warner Bros created a website for their next DC UNIVERSE DVD Movie, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. It's online now but really doesn't have any content yet. So, to celebrate I created this BATMAN YEAR ONE Wallpaper background, enjoy. The movie has a Release Date of October 18th, 2011 so something should be happening there soon, just click HERE!
YES, FINALLY! Warner Brother has released this MTV Exclusive Promo Movie Trailer for the next DC UNIVERSE Animated Film DVD, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Take a look & let me know what YOU think. I like it & think it's gonna be cool! Well, I hope so, ha!
DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. The Retail price will be around $ 125.00. Remember, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for all your Batman Collectibles News.
In this promo, finally, we get to see some of the ideas about the next DC Universe Animated Film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course it's an adaptation of Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli's classic Graphic Novel. The Animation Team seems to really want to be true to the original source. In this sneak peek we get introduced to many of the Voice Actors, many are excellent choices. I just wish we could see more "cartoon clips" of the actual DVD product, but this is a teaser so I guess we'll have to wait.
Well, apparently this is what the DVD cover art for the BATMAN: YEAR ONE - DC Universe Animated Movie is going to look like. It's a great image that I think would make an awesome poster. The projected release date for this film is September 27th, 2011. But that could easily change so please be sure to stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for later info.

Don't blink your eyes or you might miss this extremely short video clip, ha! It's a very rare TV Commercial announcing that the 1997 BATMAN AND ROBIN Movie will be on Video & DVD. Yes, VHS Tape!
Just a few days ago Warner Bros released their latest animated TV cartoon DVD, "Batman: The Brave And The Bold, Season One, Part Two". The special thing about this DVD is that it's a 2-Disc Set. The packaging is pretty cool & it contains 13 complete episodes. Now, there are not a lot of extras here but DISC ONE has a nice Movie Trailer for the next DC Universe Animated Film, "All-Star Superman". DISC TWO has a preview for the "Hot Wheels Battle Force 5" Animated TV Series. One last note would be that the shows are avaliable in three languages: English, Spanish, & Portuguese.
Now I gotta say that this is one GREAT series & a very nice DVD Set. I wish it was the Complete Season but it does have quite a bit of entertainment value. Plus, it's nice to watch the show without all the TV commercials, ha! Another thing I like is that it includes some of my most favorite episodes of Season One: "Trails of the Demon", because of the "Sherlock Holmes" angle. "The Color of Revenge", because of all the references to the Golden Age Comic Books & also the 1966 TV Show. "The Last Bat on Earth", because it showcased some Classic Jack Kirby-Inspired Characters & it brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. Actually the list could go on because every episode is fun! This set also includes the famous "Music Meister" episode, which was completely done as a Musical, a very strange ( but fun ) concept. I think that if you're a Fan of this TV Cartoon then you're gonna be pretty happy with this product. WOW! I know a lot of Batman Fans are totally excited right now about the next animated film from Warner Bros / DC Universe because they're doing BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD. Well, here's what the cover art to the DVD will look like & a photo of one of the 1st product tie-ins to the movie. It's a hand-painted cold-cast porcelain maquette of Red Hood. This statue will be released by DC Direct around July 7th, 2010. It measures about 9 1/2" tall & will be very limited to only 1000 pieces. It was sculpted by Derek Miller. The Bat-Blog recently received a whole bunch of really great photos from a Bat-Fan named Garrey. This is his room where he displays some of his Batman Collection. He's got a lot of Vintage Comic Books, New Graphic Novels, DVD Movies, Action Figures, Collectible Toys, Movie Posters, etc... I couldn't post ALL the photos he sent so I just condensed them down to a few of the best ones. He really has a lot of neat Batman items! Now, you know I totally love all this kinda stuff ( especially the toys ) but I gotta say that the BAT'S MOTEL sign is really funny! If I remember right, he said he got it at BIG LOTS during the Halloween Season. It's not really a "Batman item" but it does totally fit into the collection. Plus, I like the humor. Thank you Garrey for sharing your personal photos with us, I appreciate that a lot & know that many people will enjoy seeing these pics.
