Some NEW Cool BATMAN ACTION FIGURES To Keep An Eye Out For!
The Bat-Blog always tries to be on top of what brand-new pieces of Batman merchandise are out there. I mean, we're pretty serious Bat-Collectors & this site shares a lot of info on New Toys & Products. The 1st photo is something that's available right now. In fact, this photo was sent in by a friend who had just returned from Wal-Mart. It's a Special BATMAN VS JOKER 2-Pack Action Figure Set. It's made by Mattel from a toy line called "Action League". They're done in a squatty-cartoonish style, a lot like the Brave and the Bold figures. But they're not from the cartoon. They're more like characters from the DC Universe ( The Comic Books ). Speaking of "Cartoons", the next pic shows another 2-pack, this one for YOUNG JUSTICE. These figures are not out yet but will be released later. This set has Batman and Robin, as they look in the TV Show ( very cool! ). Now, the last photo is an item that's been out awhile. It's the DC Comics 75th Anniversary BATMAN KUBRICK Figures Set. I've reported on these before but felt they were worth mentioning again because this pic shows how they were packaged. Which, I didn't know about and really like. The custom "windows" for each figure inside is neat. Plus, the box that opens to display them is pretty cool! I also like that they have the official logo next to each character... nice! One last thing, if you're a Bat-Blog Reader who is also a Batman Toy Collector then please let us know what brand-new items you see out there in the retail stores. It doesn't have to be toy-related either, just "anything Batman"... Thanks.

David's BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Wall Murals
Here's a room that all Batman Fans would love to live in. These pics were sent in to us by a friend over at Facebook. His name is David & he says that this is the room where he does a lot of artwork. You can see his Drawing Table over in the corner. There are some really cool pieces of Batman stuff laying around ( Toys, Statues, Books, etc... ) but, of course, the main focus of the room are the wall murals. There are 2 major themes here: Heroes and Villains. For the "Heroes Wall" we get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing on a rooftop in Gotham City. It's done in the graphic art style of "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" animated series. Then, we get some Villains: Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze. They're all hanging out in front of Arkham Asylum! The artwork here is very well done. Overall the room is extremely excellent! A special thanks goes out to David for sharing his personal space. We totally love this room!

Joel's BATMAN TATTOO ART - The Dark Knight Movie Logo
Our friend Joel sent us this nice photo showing his new BATMAN TATTOO Art. It's the "The Dark Knight Movie Logo"... Awesome!! Thanks for sharing this pic Joel, that's very cool. It looks good & I like how clean/sharp the lines are. If any other Bat-Blog Fans out there get some bat-ink done then please be sure to send us some photos too.

Secrets of the Batcave - Batman Wallpaper Background
Here's a BATMAN Desktop Background Wallpaper I made the other night using vintage comic book graphics. It's titled "Secrets of the Batcave" and was drawn by artist Frank Springer. The artwork was reprinted in Batman Treasury Comics - Collectors Edition C37 ( © 1975 ) but it appeared first in Batman #203 ( © 1968 ). Basically, it's a complete cut-away blueprint layout of the Bat-Cave. I totally remember this art as a little kid & loved it ( still do ). The funny thing, I used to worry about what would happen if the Joker got a hold of this information, ha ha!

Steve's Cool Artwork Inspired by Batman's Carmine Infantino & 1966 TV Series
A few days ago we did a post here at the Bat-Blog that featured some artwork by 2 Graphic Artists who were recently inspired by Carmine Infantino's iconic drawing of Batman and Robin. Well, a few days later we received this art from a friend named Steve, who likes to draw, & he too was inspired by this same artwork. But his twist on it was he drew the characters to look like the 1966 TV Show. Plus, he also did a piece that is an homage to the Golden Age Comic Book, DETECTIVE COMICS # 27. But the thing that's cool about it is that he also made it look like some characters in the 1966 BATMAN TV Show, Adam West's Batman & Cesar Romero's Joker. Both pictures are pretty cool, check them out!! Oh yeah, just to refresh some Reader's memories I posted the classic cover to Det. Comics # 27. ( Thanks Steve )

Cully's Awesome BATMAN BATMOBILE TOY CAR COLLECTION - Hot Wheels and Corgi
Check out these 2 cool photos of an amazing BATMAN Batmobile Toy Car Collection. No, I'm serious, click on them to see 2 HUGE photos that show a lot of detail, ha! What you will see are large close-up shots of many of the cars owned by our friend Cully. His focus is mostly the Batmobiles made by Corgi Toys and Mattel's Hot Wheels. He has the 1966 George Barris Batmobile, the 70's version, the Jokermobile, Catwoman's Car, the Bat-Boat, Bat-Bike, etc... way too many to list, ha! He also has most, if not all, of the variations of the Monster Jam Batmobile "Monster Truck". I wanna thank Cully for sending in these great pics & sorry it took me so long to finally getting them online, ha! But these photos are wonderful & I appreciate it. I also want to invite all other Bat-Blog Fans to share their pics too.

Collector Reference Photo - 1976 Pepsi Series DC Superhero Character Promo Glass Set
Just the other day I got an email from a Bat-Blog Reader asking me about a Batman Promo Glass he found at a Garage Sale. He sent a photo of it and as soon as I saw it I knew what it was. I mean, I totally remembered these from my childhood in the 70's. It's a glass from the 1976 DC Comics Superhero Pepsi Series. If I remember right, they were a promotion at Burger King, the Fast Food Restaurant ( or was it Arby's? ). But either way here's a photo that shows the complete set of 6 glasses ( Click on the pic for a larger sharper version ). OK Rob, you now need to find Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and the Flash!
Help ADAM WEST Get a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame
The photo up above of the ADAM WEST STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is fake. I made it using a photo-editing program by typing his name in a gold-colored font on top of a photo of an actual star, why? Because for some reason the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has, for all these years, denied Adam West of the honor. Well, right now a Film Maker, named James Tooley, is trying to complete a Documentary that will help Mr. West get accepted. But he needs money to finish the project so he started a Kickstarter project to gather donations. If you think West deserves a star then please donate. Donations can be as low as one dollar, but every little bit helps. Also, to see the quality of the "Starring Adam West" Documentary just watch the video down below. Oh yeah, here's the link to Kickstarter, just click HERE!

ADAM WEST BATMAN on MOUNT RUSHMORE
I totally love this "Mount Batmore" photo because it's both funny & very clever! This is our friend Steve & he took this pic while on vacation in South Dakota. While there, he went to the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The photo sort of shows what the sculpture would look like if they added "Adam West". Yes, I think we need to start a petition, ha ha! I wanna thank Steve for sharing this wonderful photo and, before I forget, I gotta say that 1966 Bat-Cowl is awesome! As a side note: He says he's going to take a few more pics like this at other famous landmarks... and I can't wait to see them!
BATMAN AND JOKER 1989 Movie Collectibles
One of my many favorite areas of BATMAN TOY Collecting is all the crazy merchandise made during the 1989 Tim Burton Movie. This film was a HUGE blockbuster & they made a ton of tie-in products. Here are just a few really fun examples: The 1st pic shows a Promo Poster for TOPPS Bubble Gum Trading Cards. The graphics are pretty simple but also very cool! Dealers could find this poster inside a case of cards & it was made available to them to promote the product. The 2nd photo shows a BATMAN Playdoh Play Set. It was made by the, now classic, Kenner Toys Company. The graphics on the box are really great! I love how it combines both photography AND graphic art... nice. Plus, it came with a Batmobile & Joker-Car! Speaking of Joker, the next item is a really nice JOKER FACE Cloisonné Pin. It's more of a "Comic Book" version but still came during the film. Now, the last item shown here is actually kinda hard to find ( Here in the US anyway ) because this was a Magazine published in Canada. It was called TRIBUTE GOES TO THE MOVIES & it's best feature was that it always came with a few promo posters inside. This one as a nice color photo on the cover of Michael Keaton & Jack Nicholson, in costume. I hope a lot of people enjoy seeing this stuff again.

CRAZY CRAZY BATMAN! The Art of GRANT HUNTER!
One of my favorite things about the internet is getting to meet new people from all around the world. It's so cool how you can just spark a casual conversation with somebody, anywhere! Like here, I recently met this guy named Grant Hunter. He's an Artist & Illustrator living in Newcastle, Australia. His artwork is really great! It looks sort of child-like and very abstract. It's also slightly Gothic looking too. Well, I'm sorry, it's really kind of hard for me to describe but if you look at it you'll get the idea. It's some very cool stuff!! Shown here are 2 recent Batman Drawing he has done. Also, if you wanna see more than just click HERE!

Video - BELLY WASHERS TV Commercials - Europe & China
The other day we posted a photo of a brand-new piece of Bat-merchandise for Collectors to watch out for, a new different BATMAN Belly Washer ( a fruit-flavored beverage sold in a plastic bottle with a character head/figure on top ). Well, I got curious about this company & learned that they sell these things all over the world! In fact, here are 2 TV Commercials that aired in Europe and China... Yes, you read that right, China!! They both show an older Batman figure in them.

Video - THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie - Apple APP Edition
A friend on Facebook sent me this great video & it's really cool! It's from Warner Bros and promotes the new APP for THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie. You can download it for your Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch and then enjoy the movie plus special features. Personally, I don't have an iPad...but really want one now, ha!
Stu's Amazing ADAM WEST BATMAN Tattoo Art
OK, here at the Bat-Blog we publish a lot of Batman Tattoo Photos because it's a very fun form of ART & I think they're always interesting to see. But this one is very special to us because the guy who got it said he was inspired to get off his couch & go get inked by reading a few posts here at the Bat-Blog...WOW! We're really honored, seriously! Plus I'm glad that the tattoo work turned out so well, ha! The BATMAN TATTOO we're talking about belongs to a guy named Stu. Of course it's the ADAM WEST version from the 1966 TV Series ( Awesome! ). Stu told us it was inked by Tony Evans of Opulent Ink, Wolverhampton ( in the UK ). Well Stu, please tell Tony we think he did an amazing job! The shading is very well done & it gives this Bat-Tat an almost photo-realistic look, very nice! I mean, it really really looks like WEST!!
Brodie's BAT-SPONGEBOB Batman Birthday Cake!
We love it when Bat-Blog Fans send photos from their life where they share family moments that involve the Batman character in some way. That always means a lot to me. Plus, these kinda pics are always fun & entertaining. Like, these wonderful pics right here. They feature a "SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS AS THE DARK KNIGHT" Birthday Cake that was made for a very lucky kid named Brodie. His Great-Aunt created this for him & I know that the main ingredient was "love" ( This ALWAYS produces the best cake, ha! ). The custom-design is very unique & clever. Just check out how they made his skinny legs, ha! I'm guessing that maybe they could not decide if they wanted a Batman Cake or a Spongebob one. So, they put the two of them together & got this great piece of ART. Like I said, very clever! Plus, just looking at it totally cracks me up! I wanna thank them for sharing these photos & also invite any other Bat-Blog Fans out there to please send-in their pics. Our email button is ALWAYS on the top right-hand side of this page.

BATMAN Comic Art Inspired By Carmine Infantino
Back in the 1960's there was a major BATMAN Comic Book Artist named Carmine Infantino. He was extremely influential for saving the character from obscurity. He also created a lot of great artwork! The 1st image shown here is a piece he did that has since become very iconic. So much so that there have been posters, statues, & a ton of parodies of it. Here are 2 wonderful examples: The 2nd photo shows a recent drawing by Christopher Franchi. He not only did an homage to Infantino, but the whole thing is drawn in the cartoon-style of another famous Batman Artist named Dick Sprang. The combination is AWESOME! The next drawing was done by a Graphic Designer who calls herself "Black Cat". She has a webcomic called "Batman and Sons" that is also worth checking out, click HERE!

BATMAN COLLECTING: 2 New Pieces To Watch For
"Being a Batman Collector" is really the main focus of the Bat-Blog. So, every chance we get, we try to feature Brand-New Bat-Merchandise or Older Vintage Toys. Here are 2 new items to keep an eye out for on your next hunt. The 1st photo is an AUTO WORLD 1966 BATMAN TV Show BATMOBILE SLOT CAR... in WHITE Color! Yes, besides making the actual Slot Car Set ( with track & everything ) Auto World sells just the car by itself. But they're not stopping there! They are also coming out with a few variations: the Classic "Black" Batmobile, a "Chrome" version, & a "White" one ( Shown up above ). Next is a very fun piece of Bat-Memorabilia, it's a BATMAN Belly Washers Bottle! This one was recently found in a Safeway Grocery Store ( Thanks Kevin ) & before you think you might already have this one, it is new & the figure on top is different.

1966 BATMAN TV Show Fantasy Kellogg's Cereal Box
Here at the Bat-Blog we totally love creativity, in any form. What we're talking about is when Batman Fans, inspired by the character, create fun objects or pieces of art that are Batman-related. It can be any activity like drawing, painting, or even sewing a costume! Check this out! Here is a "Fake" Reproduction of a 1966 BATMAN Kellogg's Cereal Box that they never made. Now, back in the day, this Cereal Company did do a few boxes that promoted the TV Show. But they were always presented as the actual cereal & "Batman Toys" were just a featured premium inside the box or one you had to mail-away for. But this "Fantasy Cereal Box", shown here, really focuses on the character. First off, the design is really incredible. It uses a lot of "Cereal Box" graphic elements that were in use around the 1960's: The diagonal stripes for sure. I like that it has the Kelloggs Cereal & BATMAN TV Series logos together. It also has a great photo of Adam West in costume. Plus, it's kinda cool that they printed it on card-stock & it's sort of like a real box. The person who made this did an extremely awesome job on it!
