This is just a quick post to share some photos of an extremely cool MR FREEZE Costume that was made by a friend of the Bat-Blog. His name is Paul and we're totally impressed with this awesome suit/props. Of course it's the version of the character from the older TV Cartoon, "Batman, The Animated Series". The likeness is very well done. I totally love the Glass Dome Helmet & Freeze-Gun, ha!
An original production-made complete Batgirl Costume, used by Yvonne Craig in the classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show, will be offered in an online auction soon that will begin on July 30th, 2011. This is the cowl used in the very first episode featuring "Batgirl" and there are many photos of her wearing it. The costume includes: Unitard, Utility Belt, Gloves, Boots and Cape. It will also include paperwork and authentication from Western Costume as well as letters detailing the history of the costume from the original owner. Yvonne Craig examined the costume and told the current owner the story about the cowl. The estimate is between $9,000.00 and $12,000.00 ( I think it should go for more than that, ha! ) For extra information on this item just click HERE!
Over at the Luxury4Play website they posted some photos of the brand-new Lamborghini Car that will be in the next Batman Movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. This will be Bruce Wayne's new Personal Car ( Christian Bale ). If you remember in the last movie, he wrecked his other one trying to save that Accountant Guy, ha! The L4P reporter not only got some great shots of the Lamborghini Car but also the new "Wayne Manor", this is in the UK.
Yesterday, here at the BAT-BLOG.COM, we featured a few videos of the unveiling of the Batmobile Car that will be used in the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour. The event happened in the UK & you know people there must have went insane. Well, today we decided to share some amazing photos of the BATMOBILE CAR! ( Please click on them for larger versions ) For a Batmobile Prop Car I think it looks pretty cool! I don't know, what do YOU think about it? Please share your comments on Facebook or Twitter. Also, if you're a member at one of these social networks, but not yet a friend of BAT-BLOG, then please join us! The buttons for finding us there are always on the top right-hand side of this page. The Bat-Blog has a friend on Facebook who sent this amazing photo! Scott said, "My sister in law sent me this, apparently they're shooting the Dark Knight Rises outside of her office in London." In the photo we can see a Gotham City SWAT Van... AWESOME!! ( Thanks Scott ).
One of the coolest things about the last Batman film, The Dark Knight, was the amazing BAT-POD Motorcycle. This thing was totally custom & very well designed. I mean, it was CRAZY! Shown here are 2 Videos that are sort of like mini-documentaries. They both cover information about the vehicle movie prop in high detail & are also very entertaining to watch, enjoy.
Here's some freakin' sweet photos of the Original 1966 Batman TV Show & Movie BATCOPTER!! This is NOT a replica but the real deal! I got these photos from a friend named Amanda. In one pic you can see her standing next to Eugene Nock, the Owner & Pilot of the '66 Batman Helicopter. You see, after he bought the original TV & Movie Prop he totally restored it & now goes on tour visiting State Fairs & Auto/Comic Book Conventions allowing people to go for a ride. I know a few people who have done it & they all say it's a total blast! Because of the design of the copter's canopy you get an extreme view of the ground. A lot of people say it's almost like you're flying in the air like Peter Pan & not just looking out of a window. I know what they're talking about. I have not had a ride in this helicopter but one just like it ( a Bell Army one ), as a kid at the Oklahoma State Fair, many many years ago. It's a totally cool experience! I wanna thank Amanda for sharing these wonderful photos. She's very nice, I appreciate that. If there are any other Bat-Blog Readers who have taken a ride on the Famous Bat-Copter then please send us some pics & share your experience. Also, about Amanda: She is the Model from the "Superhuman Experiment" so please be sure to check it out sometime by clicking LINK!
A look at the Batmobile that toured the country promoting Onstar. This is the original car driven by Michael Keaton in the Batman movies! This video was shot during production of the Comic Book Literacy documentary. For more information about the COMIC BOOK LITERACY program please be sure to click HERE!
Holy Movie Prop, Batman! Here's a very cool photo I found awhile back & have been meaning to share. It's a high-resolution photo of the Original BATARANG used by Burt Ward in the 1966 Batman TV Show. Of course he played Robin, The Boy Wonder! I think it's really neat to see original props like this. The paint is sort of a metallic-blue. Plus, it's an interesting part of Bat-History. ( Be sure to click on the above photo for a larger, more detailed, photo ).
