To celebrate the fact that the next Batman Movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, will be filmed for one month in Pittsburgh the city hired "Lightwave International" to create a BAT-SIGNAL to welcome the Director, Actors, & Film Crew. The BAT-LOGO shined on the famous Highmark Building & was actually done with High-Powered Lasers! Be sure to click on the photo below for a larger, more detailed, version... it's freakin' AWESOME!!
A Bat-Blog Fan named Jackie sent us this wonderful photo of a Batman Birthday Cake that her, her Husband and Mother created. Jackie's Mom runs a small side-business where she makes birthday cakes for people. One day she got a client who wanted a Batman-themed treat. So, they decided to make one featuring GOTHAM CITY WITH A LARGE BAT-SIGNAL. The completed cake is shown here & it turned out really great! It was for a little boy's 5th birthday & I know he will probably never forget it...it's very VERY cool! ( Thanks to Jackie for sending this fun pic ).
This comic strip is pretty funny! It shows a Lighthouse Attendant trying to get away with creating a Bat-Signal, Ha Ha! Our friend Christopher sent this in ( Thanks Chris! ) & the comic strip is done by 2 guys named Guy & Rodd. They have a website called "Brevity" where you can read many of their current comic strips.
